Annual Juried Student Exhibition at Southeast University

Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum and the Department of Art and Design at Southeast Missouri State University will host a reception for the 27 students, many with multiple works selected, March 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

The Annual Juried Student Exhibition will be on display March 27 - April 26, 2026.

The Department of Art and Design students at Southeast Missouri State University show off their creative talent during this annual exhibit. Many of the artworks on display will be available for purchase. Categories of art include drawing, printmaking, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, visual and digital media.

This year’s juror is Chris Beaty, a multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago, Illinois, working primarily in painting and drawing. He is best known for his collage-inspired approach. He earned his MFA from the University of Illinois and his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting Degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

Beaty’s work has been exhibited nationally, featured in multiple publications, and is held in numerous private collections across the United States.
