The Joy of Red and White Quilt Exhibit

Friday, May 22, 2026, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Lutheran Heritage Center & Museum

Come see over 40 Red and White quilts from the collection of Ann Meyer Hazelwood.

Ann Meyer Hazelwood’s love for red and white began in Perry County, where she was born and raised. Her passion for quilting grew when she opened Patches Etc. in St. Charles, Missouri. What started as a small venture blossomed into a quilt, needlework, and button shop that thrived for 30 years.

Ann is also a Certified Quilt Appraiser and has served as President of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. In addition to her work in the quilting world, she has built an impressive writing career, authoring 30 books. One of her series is set in East Perry County, where she developed a special connection with the museum. Many pieces from her personal collections—primarily in red and white—have been exhibited there.

Ann lives in St. Charles with her husband, Keith. She raised two sons, one of whom is now deceased.
