Registration period: June 25 - July 9
What is on your grocery list? Maybe peanut butter, apples, crackers, or carrots? What about acorns or hickory nuts? Oak and hickory trees are plentiful in Missouri’s forests. They’re some of the staples that deer, turkey, and squirrels rely on for sustenance. They were also important to the people who loved before grocery stores. Come learn how to identify oaks and hickory, how to harvest and prepare the nuts, and then take to our trails to test your identification skills. Our trails are easy to moderate gravel trails with hills, and our hike will be about a mile.
