Friday Night Dance Lesson featuring fun Foxtrot.

Friday, SEP 25th, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Foxtrot is a smooth, progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. It is danced to big band music. The dance is similar in its look to Waltz, although the rhythm is in a 4/4 time instead of 3/4. The Foxtrot reached its height of popularity in the 1930s and remains popular today. Just $5 per person at the door, cash only. No bills over $20, please. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with a group dance lesson including dancing practice to mixed ballroom music until 9 p.m. with instructors available. Line dances are included.

No smoking. No alcohol. Water is available. You may bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Cape Ballroom Friday Night Dance Lessons are held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 2731 Thomas Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
