Past: Quilt Extravaganza
Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum
Two hundred quilts and sewn items will be displayed June 2 through 25, 2023 at Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum’s “Quilt Extravaganza”. This free event includes vintage sewing machines, bears, bags, useful tools, and a large variety of quilts, such as traditional and paper piecing, samplers, cross stitch, three-yard quilts, collage, crazy quilts, landscape, still life, T-shirt, and hand stitched antiques. A quilt a week for a year collection by Lorraine Bakke will be displayed. Stitching socials, workshops, and a demonstration for T-shirt quilting will be held. Area quilt groups and fabric stores will have displays with information on their events such as classes, socials, meetings, and fund raisers. A closing reception is 1-4 p.m. on June 25, with a bed turning beginning at 3 p.m.
