Past: New Salem United Methodist Church 150th Anniversary Celebration

New Salem United Methodist Church is celebrating its 150th anniversary with special services on Sunday, Sept. 17. Morning worship will be held at 9 a.m. with Sunday school held at 10 a.m. A free lunch will be held at noon and it will include kettle-cooked beef, the church's signature chicken and dressing with lot of side dishes and home made ice cream and cake for dessert. (This meal is free to all who would like to attend.) There will be vintage memorabilia and pictures on display. The afternoon program will begin at 1 p.m. and will feature a pictorial history of the church and community and music with special presentation by the church's children's bell choir. The church is located on Highway 11 west of Daisy.
