Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center
Registration period: April 1 - April 15
Join us for a challenging hike through oak-hickory woodlands and rocky, open glades in the Saint Francois Mountains. This naturalist-led hike will highlight both the highest point in Missouri and the highest waterfall in Missouri. The 2.9-mile looping trail is difficult with steep inclines and rocky obstacles. The trail offers expansive and impressive views from Taum Sauk Mountain. Transportation will be provided from the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature. Please pack a non-perishable lunch, bring at least 2 liters of water, and wear sturdy hiking boots. Trekking poles are recommended but optional.
