Past: Autumnal Equinox Celebration & Labyrinth Walk

Abbey Road Christian Church

Are you grateful for autumn? For the harvest of delicious foods it provides? For looking forward to the refreshing cooler weather? For the beautiful blaze of reds, oranges, yellows of the turning leaves? For a time of settling down for a well-deserved rest after a busy summer? Autumn is a time of transition. It is the prelude to the death of one cycle and rebirth of another new cycle of life at the time of the winter solstice. It is a time for inner reflection, a time for balance in our lives as light and dark balance and become equal, for release of those things, habits, attitudes, and beliefs which are no longer beneficial to us, and for thankfulness in our hearts for this creation which we call home with all its bounty.

On Monday, September 23, at 6:00pm at The Labyrinth at Abbey Road, 2411 Abbey Rd, Cape Girardeau, let us come together and be thankful for all that autumn offers us as we celebrate the Autumnal Equinox. Come walk The Labyrinth in mindfulness and contemplation of the season, enjoying the sounds and colors that surround you there, as you open up to the possibilities—of releasing what is no longer needed and embracing the good available to us.
