Spooky Fun For Everyone

Mark your calendars and get your costumes ready! The Lutheran Home is opening the campus for a Halloween Festival for area kids!

Tuesday, October 28

5:30 – 8:00pm

Lutheran Home Campus – 2825 Bloomfield Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703

Footprints in Faith, the Foundation of the Lutheran Home, is hosting the Halloween Festival, which is free and open to all community kids. Brought to you by John’s Pharmacy, this fun-filled event features a Trunk or Treat, a Treat Parade, a light show, a maze, games and LOTS of snacks and treats!

“We know that parents look for safe, family-oriented activities for their kids, especially at Halloween,” said Dana Gier, President of the Footprints in Faith Advisory Board. “This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come to a safe campus and for our residents to join in the celebration – everyone enjoys giving candy to children!”

Festivities kick off at 5:30pm when the event opens. Kids can enjoy our Trunk or Treat, a Treat Walk through Saxony Village and a hayride through our spookily-decorated campus. The Light Show will begin at dark. In front of Saxony Manor, there will be games and a Haunted Maze perfect for kids and parents alike.

“We’re happy to open up our campus to families this year,” said Teresa Brown, COO of the Lutheran Home campus. “Our residents and staff are excited to welcome the community for some fun. The team here has worked hard to create a great environment with décor and activities everyone can enjoy!”
