Explore the Endangered Sand Prairie

Registration period: July 24 - August 12

You may have heard about endangered species but what about endangered habitats right here in Missouri? Sand prairies are an uncommon habitat in Missouri with species of plants and animals unique to them. In this program you will have the opportunity to visit and hike at Sand Prairie Conservation Area and see for yourself why sand prairies are such a novel habitat. Participants will meet at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center to shuttle to the sand prairie.
